How long does it take? Taxi from airport to hua lamphong Bangkok train station ... Arriving at airport 3-30pm and want to get a train at 6-10pm on Sunday 12th ... Is it possible ?

You can get a train direct from Don Mueang to the main Hua Lamphong train station, it's not an express but it will get you there.

And apparently can just get on the no1 train heading to chiang Mai at the airport station and Dave the trip into town

Can you clarify why you wish to get to the train station, if it is to take the CM train as you seem to indicate then yes just catch it from Don Mueang station which is directly linked with terminal 1 via an enclosed pedestrian link.

Absolutely, no need to travel into town and waste 2 hrs.

Yes to get the cm train and yes will catch it at the airport ... Thanks all ... Saved me 2 hrs and probably missing the train!
