Tat License For A Campsite.

Featured Replies

Hi, I am thinking of assisting Thai nationals with creating a small campsite in the Mae Suai / Chiang Rai area (Akha hilltribe) Thinking the campsite will be private about 4-5 tents / 8-10 people maximum, will also create a website for it to promote (unsure if will accept payment on website). Basically need to know about a TAT license( I will have no part of the process, all through Thai nationals) what are the costs, do you even need one for activites on private land. Thanks for any replies.

You need a general business licence but, although TAT do not issue licences to conduct a business, you could approach them for promotional support with your plan. However let me tell you they are not easy to deal with; their plans are made one year in advance and they generally tend to stick to the letter - if it's near something that they do promote they may however be interested!

PS

If you print your own leaflets they will usually allow you to place them in the leaflet section of TAT offices

Cheers Brian CR, will do a bit more research.

If you will not have anything to do with it except help fund them then better to let the Thais do all the enquiring and research really.
