How hard will it be to get a visa approved for a t/g, who has a un-used recently issued passport, to travel to New Zealand for a short holiday? She would be traveling with me, a American. Would she need to go to Bangkok to do the paperwork ? Thanks for any info.

GF would need to demonstrate compelling reason to return to Thailand. Best if she had a letter of employment, accompanied by the employer letter granting leave. General info at & details provided on a form that can be downloaded at:

Thanks for that info but she doesn't work or own any land. Just a long time g/f of mine.

Then you have a problem. Look at it from your homelands point of view. sad.png

I believe a visa company in Pattaya who have a good reputation (ask for Daren) provide a service to assess if GF would be able to qualify for visa, but imagine it would be a real challenge as you're not a NZ citizen. http://www.keyvisacompany.com/pattayaoffice.html

Alternatively call Consular Services at the NZ Embassy in BKK and ask for guidance. Again may be pushing XXXX uphill
