I tried both for the first time ever. I took 1.6mg of melatonin and 1 Magnesium Glycinate. I also had 1 beer, and I got to sleep quickly and didn't get up to pee often. I have never tried either before to I don't have any experiences to compare with. It seemed to work well. I will try it again tonight. As far as the Lazada counterfeits, even if the bottle was phony that doesn't also mean the stuff inside was bad. They might copy the name brand bottle to get more sales. Who knows? The placebo effects can be strong too. Best to buy where you're comfortable that you're getting the real thing.

I agree that it makes sense. I could see a seller possibly copying a brand name bottle to get more sales, but the ingredients are probably ok...Hard to know for sure.

Circadin 2 mg is a prolonged-release(extended) melatonin tablet, so it might take longer to effect you compared to immediate release pills.

Ok....ChatGPT was able to positively confirm that both the bar code and other bottle info was Puritan used numbers BUT they could have been copied too. Unfortunately, I don't believe that there is any way to 100% confirm genuine products, especially here, in the land of excellent copies. Did you feel that your Lazada product was a copy based on your personal experience? The way it made you feel? Thanks

I haven't tried it yet but will report back later after I use it for several days. I also bought Magnesium Glycinate, as some say that is also a good sleep aid. Haven't tried either yet. I was concerned about 'copies' so I gave ChatGPT all the bottle info and it confirmed that these were all Puritan Pride code numbers although it someone was making a copy I would imagine they would also copy the correct code numbers. The bottle and label appeared perfect BUT when I opened it the inner seal came off as if it was not glued on. Being so hot here I have found that many tapes and glues don't adhere well, so I don't know what to think. Some people 'joke' that nothing in Thailand is real unless its's a copy.

It works well But you will feel it the next day as it has a long half life. Benadryl works the same as has a much shorter half-life so less chance of morning grogginess. Any drug can become mentally additive as you feel you need to do it to sleep. As with most drugs, the more you do them the less effective they become.

A few days ago, I bought and received from Lazada 10mg Melatonin , Puritan brand(120 caps) for 400 baht. I open it up and sub divide into 5, 2mg dosages. Many other types available.

In this thread I am reading about melatonin ,at 10 mg...I thought the recommended starting dosage was 1mg. at night. Some Thai pharmacies have a 2mg extended release. Is this too strong for a beginner?

With some people almost everything can be addictive as their brain becomes used to it and they feel they need it to sleep or just feel normal. This is a mental issue.

This topic makes me worry slightly as I step over some soi dog sitting by the door at 7-11, enjoying the air cond. Yes, they tend to be quiet dogs But any animal can snap out of fear at any time. You can never know what bad past experiences that animal may have had.

Anyone know the approximate cost to get the rabies shots if you get scratched or bitten ?maybe 20K ?

I read recently that not only scratches and bites can give you rabies. If the dog or animal licks your open mouth, gets saliva into your nose or eyes then it's possible to get infected. Scary stuff if you like dogs, etc. Especially here with all the soi dogs that might not have ever gotten the shots.

I am all for space travel and discovery, but I also think there is still much to be learned about the deep oceans. We should do both.

Just a thought. If you can buy 100mg capsules you could pull them apart and dump out the contents. Then using a knife cut the 100mg power into 5 equal piles of 20mg each. Of course, this wouldn't be exact but should be reasonably close. You could buy empty gelatin caps and make your own 20mg pills or wrap each 20 mg in some aluminum foil and dump it into your morning coffee or other drink. Just a suggestion.

I guess I will skip this years worm pills. I used to take one type for 3-4 days and another type for 3-4 days as apparently there is one type of worm that isn't killed by the first pills. I'm curious about the necessity of taking worm meds. I have asked some pharmacists and they say they take worm pills 1-2 times a years. I have been taking both types of worm pills once a year. I wonder if it is needed as I don't think I have ever had worms. I don't eat street food and mostly cook myself at home. I never eat anything raw and everything is cooked closer to well done as I want to be sure I have killed all the potential parasites. An I taking these pills for no reason ??? Thanks for any info.

On the tariffs and other economic things he has done I suggest giving him 6-12 months to see if they are working. Factories and new jobs can't be made in a few months. In Thailand, Krungsri has some fixed-locked accounts in the 2-2.6% range. I know that's not very good but I don't think you will get better in Thailand. Some crypto sites have much better rates but that's another story and carries much higher risks than a bank.
