All you should need is your Thai marriage certificate/copy. If you were married overseas you would probably have to have a confirmation letter/notorized copy or such from your Embassy that what you present as a marriage certificate is real.

thanks a lot. i was suddenly worried i'd have to request something from my home country now to prove my marriage and that usually takes 4-6 weeks...pgew. :o sorry for asking so many questions and thanks again for all your answers :D

When toping up the 400K does this have to come from overseas as well or can you just use funds from a Thai Bank Account ?

just to keep you updated ...i went for my extension about a week ago, which was 17 days before my 2 months entry expired and they told me to "come back in the last week", they wouldn't be able to process it before. not that i mind but it seems like its a new rule they just made up, or maybe the officer wasn't in the mood to do any applications, who knows. does anyone know if immigration opens this coming monday/tuesday?

The same happened also with me with the same answer.

Don't worry. They'll give you extensions after, of course the papers are all correct you have.

Maybe I have to make correction first from my last post! Just read your post again and I have seen you wrote about 2 months entries. If you have a tourist-visa with 2 entry, then you have to change it first in Bangkok, Soi Suan Phlu, for an NON-Immigrant Visa "O". Without this you can not start!

Correct me when i'm wrong.

now heading to immigration on monday morning for the 1 year extension :D

Congratulations rainman.... You've been a busy man lately - now's the time to adjust to thai speeds. You've got a stamp in your passport that allows you to stay in thailand for 90 days, right? Immigration wouldn't want to bother with your application for extension until the last 30 days of your 'permitted to stay-period'.... Slow down and enjoy ...

This was completely correct what "rishi" has posted before!

but after you wrote:

"so, you can't really extend the visa just yet? gotta wait until the last 30 days? :o:D i got a 90 days stamp, yeah..." and the last post "...before my 2 months entry expired..."

Thought you've an "O"-Visa already. If you really have an Tourist-Visa, then the Timeframe is now too short for to change the visa (21 days before your Tourist-visa expired) - ore you have a two (2) entry Tourist visa, that would work in your Timeframe.

Sorry, I don‘t hope I‘m correct but it looks like so.
