Importing Classic Car From Thailand To Australia

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I need to import a classic car from BKK to Oz, Brisbane, and am wondering if anyone knows of a good reliable carrier or shipping company that can help me do this?? Any info would be helpful and i would like to know estimated costs etc. I would prefer a company that can take care of all import taxes and customs etc. Cheers!

look up ADM customs(tullamarine ) in Melbourne they have a very good reputation and are custom agents, i have used them for many jobs in the past . Ask to speak to tom barlic and tell him what you want to do ,

cheers

We looked at importing a car a few years ago. From what I recall (and I hope I'm not giving the incorrect advice hre), if you own it for a year, it comes in duty free, though there is an assesment of GST on the value of the car for which you bought it. So that may be something you need to remember.....

That was my point. I was expecting the usual, and it was very refreshing to see actual actionable advice from someone who has done it.
