Don't think so.

You need to get the car passport, purple book I think it is from motor registry branch.

There is also paperwork on the border for crossing of course.

However, you can get the purple book at the border, but it costs you a lot more.

u need the cars purple book, ( takes one day) and than all the paperwork is done at the border.

make sure u have copies of ur cars blue book and ur passport page

going into laos all ur info is entered into a computer,

Note although most everyone gets a 30 day visa( can be issued on arrival) ur car will only be allowed in for 15 days ( which u can extended i have heard) and u need purchase insurance IMMEDIATELY.
