If you have just been released from a U.K. Prison, a 2year sentence for GBH will a Tourist Visa be denied..?.

Thai embassies and consulates do not check for a criminal back ground when you apply for tourist visas. Only if you have an international arrest warrant would there be a problem.

Why should one be denied a holiday?

no, because they do not even ask the question. and if by some chance its on there, they do not run any checks

If the person is British then they can enter Thailand as a tourist for up to 30 days without a visa anyway.

It is reason to deny you entry or deport you from the country, but no checks are made.

A second chance, the person in Question has had many second chances. Im sure he will fight someone here.coffee1.gif .

If he does then after a stretch in he Bangkok Hilton he will be deported and checked on entry against the immigration computer record should he return
