90 Days Notification = 97 Days Notification ?

Recommended Posts

Today I had to go the immigration office (Jomtien) for my 90 days notifications, but the office was closed (coronation day).

I've readed thaivisa forum, and I've readed that a late notification is not an overstay, only a fine of 2000 bahts.

But when does this fine applied ? 91 days or 97 days?

Because I've readed this: "The notification must be made within 15 days before or after 7 days the period
of 90 days expires"

http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=90days

Today we are may the 6th, does it mean that until may the 13th (90 days + 7 days), I won't be fined, no special stamps on my passport ? Is it up to date ?

Thank you.

Yes you may report up to 7 days late without any penalty or special stamp.

Thank you :)

So the "90 days notification" is a 97 days notification.

After 97 days, you will be fined 2000 bahts with a stamp (not red) about this fine. Perfectly clear now.

Per above, go Wednesday (as tomorrow will be very busy) and you will not be fined. You have till 7 days after the due date if you appear in person.

And some offices accept a mailed notification/form as late as 7 days after the due date as well.
