May 7, 201313 yr Nice video with some amazing shots. But my favorite bit was the streetfighter reference.
May 7, 201313 yr I don't understand the video caption "never go to thailand", it doesn't make any sense. It just looks like a tourism video. Maybe it's just me but....???
May 7, 201313 yr Popular Post I think you'll find it under the heading 'reverse psychology". Post a tourism video under the title 'Come to Thailand' people know it's a tourist thingy and ignore it, 'Never Go to Thailand" though is a challenge.......Why not? I'll go if I want to! No-one tells me what to do!! So you click the link to find out what there is that's so terrible about the place........Gotcha!!
May 7, 201313 yr This thai language, no verb tenses.. 'Never go to Thailand' For the verb 'go' read ''went''. And then the end was truncated, and read: ''Here is some of what you have been missing''

May 7, 201313 yr Popular Post So there are some good bits then.......not all jet-ski scams and tuk-tuk mafia! Or dead coral, ocean plastic, street filth, poisoned food, treeless mountains, smog, bribes, sick dogs, overcharging, road accidents, gun fights. Didn't realise none of that really exists in videos, only in our minds. Edited May 7, 201313 yr by Card

But if you understand psychology there is a limit to reverse psychology. Sometimes there is a thing called negative reinforcement. The title itself actually makes me feel less like going. Sort of like how studies showed that when people are told something negative about a restaurant for example but then that it's not true it still sticks in their minds (i.e. if someone says "that restaurant has rat feces in their soup.... just kidding! it's not true at all." you'd still be less likely to eat there). I think a negative title doesn't work well with Tourism, especially "Never go to [insert country]" when said country is known for having an abundance of scammers, etc. But I understand this video is probably trying to counter those concerns with the upsides.
May 7, 201313 yr I think this was posted on 22 April already http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/634468-never-go-to-thailand/
May 7, 201313 yr If they had justy answered the statement. Never Go To Thailand... ... Unless you want to : see, do, eat, experience LIFE, like you have never known it. Or some such.

May 7, 201313 yr Here I sit in the Lufthansa transit lounge, waiting for my flight out to Thailand and I find this thread in my email. "Never go to Thailand." Too late, I am about halfway there!
May 7, 201313 yr Great video with clever psychology, which did draw me in to watch it. Good stuff and as others said, reminded me why I love Thailand so, so much.
May 7, 201313 yr Great Video, Reminds me why I love Thailand and her people. Despite the occasional bad moments( which you get anywhere ) it really is a great place
May 7, 201313 yr I think they forgot to put a question mark at the end of the sentence," Never go to Thailand ????" Edited May 7, 201313 yr by goldmonky
May 7, 201313 yr Nice video - but I liked the recent Thai produced video on erectile dysfunction better. You know - the one where the the aging (Thai) porno movie director motorcyclist takes his gorgeous lady friend into the bushes. Now if they used that one it might really get the tourists to come.
May 7, 201313 yr What a totally AWESOME video and such a beautiful change from so much of the negativity. Thanks for sharing. I am counting the days till I am back!
