^ Last week, and opening day 1 September 2014

Market area had outgrown that location, the town centre - complete with roundabout and clock tower and the intersection of five roads. Utter chaos and the scene of many a low-speed accident. Police with road cones and whistles didn't help at all.

This building has been renovated - understand it was built as a warehouse, better location especially in terms of parking (and not being run over while shopping)

Small-town economics - the old site now deserted, just cars going through. The town's second 7/11 store opened on the prime corner site there about 18mth ago, they'll notice a huge down-turn in customers as a result of the move. Equally, the shops opposite the new one won't know what hit them!
