Man arrested after attempted sexual assault in East Pattaya

PATTAYA:--Police arrested a 39 year old man in the early hours of Saturday in Soi Nongabok in East Pattaya, accused of attempting to sexually assault a 43 year old woman inside her rented room.

Police from the Kao Ta Lo Police Box were called to the location after residents had detained Khun Wichit who was naked and injured after being attacked by residents following his detention.

The 43 year old victim, who lived with her 1 year old Nephew was woken by the man who had placed a sharp object against her neck. At this point she thought it was a knife so complied with a request from the suspect to remove her clothing. As she began to remove her clothes she realized it was not a knife and began to fight off the man while screaming for help from other residents who were quick to respond. The victim’s daughter, who lives in a neighbouring room also rushed to help.
