Correct Immigration Location In Bkk

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I need to go to the Immigration for a 30 day extension on a regular Tourist Visa. Could anyone please indicate the proper address of the Immigration? I was looking at immigration.go.th and there is an address near Lumpini/Silome. But other told me it is more near Dong Muang Airport.

Anyone can help please? Thanks

As above.

Beat me to it.

UPDATE - Feedback:

I went to the Immigration Div 1 today and must say that my experiences where absolute positive. This is how Thailand should be working. I also can assume, that this is how the Government wants it to be - to show themselves from the best side: efficient, polite, correct.

I arrived during lunch time so went first to the food court. There was my only negative experience of the day. The board clearly has shown; 2 item = 30 Bt, 3 items 35 Bt. I had to pay 40 Bt for 3 items. Yea farang cow.

After lunch I went to the Div 1 office, get my form at the counter. The officer was very helpful in making sure I had all info filled in. Then proceeded to the other room -. took a ticket. Just as I was seated (30 sec.) my number was called. Went in, gave passport, photo copy, picture, 1900 Bt. I was there about 5-7 minutes got my return money and was asked to wait out side. There I waited at most 20 minutes to get my passport back with the extension. The whole took max 30 minutes.

I felt really good in the whole process encountering a very calm atmosphere.

This is how I would love to see Thailand functioning. That would then indeed be a great country.

Side Note. If you search on Google Maps for the location DO NOT search by street name and soi and number. It gave ma a wrong location on the same main road (about 4 km west near Central Plaza). Search by using "Government Complex". In Soi 7 go all the way to the end (south side) it's that last huge complex on the right.

BTW. If you came by Bus you can use motorbike transfer (20 Bt each way, fixed price) to the south entrance that is 2 km away from the main road.

Love to go back there one day, good experience,
