shouldnt be a problem. She should not forget only to show her Thai-passport when entering and leaving Thailand (Bangkok airport)(not good to get a 30 days stamp in the British Passport and leaving after 3 month ! And no good to have an entry stamp and get no leaving stamp in her Britisch Passport. There is something about that issue somewhere at this forum...

Yes, your wife is still a Thai national (otherwise she would illegally have a Thai passport) and so she do not need a visa to enter the Kingdom of Thailand...

Normally, a Thai person gets a stamp (and a card with number) in the passport when leaving. So I assume, your wife do not have this one in her passport (because she used her British passport when leaving Thailand)I always got angry about this, because a passport is for entering other countries and not for the authorities of your own country to make remarks, when you leave or enter your own country - but Thai immigration is misusing the passport for this. I think, it should (!) be possible just to show your Thai id card, when leaving.

But not sure, the Thai police is thinking the same .... May be, we will try it next time.

Thai passports are only good for 5 years. She has been keeping it valid all these years but not using it?

yes, she can use the (valid) Thai passport to go in and out of Thailand, and the UK passport to deal with UK border police.

Procedure is:

Leave the UK on UK, passport, enter and leave Thailand on Thai passport, e-enter UK on UK passport.

At check-in at the ariline present both passports, so they cna see that no visa is required for either country.

Every day many people use this procedure at the airport.

Only problem I can see is that the passports are in different names.

She should get a Thai passport with her married name.
