Notification Emails Suggestion

I like to get emails for replies to my posts.

I like to get emails for new topics (OP only) in followed forums.

I don't want to get emails from every topic I follow.

This works fine.

But I don't get emails from my own topics - even though I am following the topic - if the member doesn't quote my post. And, as it is MY topic, I really want to know when some one replies.

Of course, no one can quote MY OP as that ability was removed a long time ago.

So my suggestion is that a new feature be added to the Notification Preferences such as:

"Notify me when someone adds a reply to one of my topics"

If there is a way of achieving this already, please let me know. But I have played with these options for quite a while and either get no notifications, or get flooded with notification for topics that are not mine.
