Easiest/cheapest Way To Send Money Out Of Thailand?

Featured Replies

I've got about $9000 I need to send out of Thailand. Either to my account in USA or to my GF's account in USA.

I have a work permit that ends this month, so I can show I had been working.

What is the easiest/cheapest way to transfer it? Just walk in and do a SWIFT transfer? Any special instructions such as far as should I transfer it in American $? Should I withdraw it all, convert it to American $ and then go back to the bank and transmit it so I can get a better rate on the conversion?....

Please keep it simple... Like step 1) Go to the bank, 2) .........

Much appreciated

bump.

The best/cheapest way is as below

1, Go to the bank

2, Make a wire transfer, let the Bank convert your Baht into US$.

Agreed, tell the sending bank in Thailand that you want to send USD, they'll do the conversion at a decent rate.
