Bmouthboyo
Hi Guys,I am moving abroad to work for at least the next 2 years. I have beenemployed full time in the UK for 5 years, and was wondering when I willbe eligible to claim my PAYE Tax paid this tax year. I assume I am correct in thinking I can claim a rebate on the tax paidfor the 2013 - 2014 tax year as I will only be working from April to theend of August and I think it will only go over my allowance by about£2000.When could I claim this back? Do I have to wait until April 2014? Or can I collect this sooner (preferred). Thanks

naboo
Call them, they will tell you which forms to submit. I called, notified I was leaving, registered as non-resident, they told me the forms, I said to just send the cheque the following May. They are helpful. GavinK
You can claim it back as soon as you stop working in the UK. Your employer should give your a slip detailed what tax you've paid (P45 ?). Check HMRC website for the relevant form to complete.
