May 27, 201313 yr Hi I've been together with gf for 2 years I'm 25 and she is 23 years old. I been Thailand few times on 2 to 3 month trips in our first year. Spent few months apart in between these trips. We travelled 4 or 5 Asian countries together on different trips. She spent 6 months in uk on tourist visa recently with me. She's back in Thailand working with her previous employer, I'm in Australia on a working holiday visa . Been here 3 months. . I shall be returning to Thailand as I really want to see my gf for a few weeks but I would like to know people's responses .. if they think she will get a oz tourist visa? ( I mean she been uk before) I'm renting a room in shared house, have few thousand dollars in bank will cover all expenses . Want her to stay for a month as she will have to return to work. I have all evidence from uk tourist visa plus calls photos etc .. Can u get multiple entry so she could maybe come few times within 6 months as I plan to stay in oz another 6 months. What's cost of oz visa?? Thanks
May 27, 201313 yr Getting an Aus visa (as with a lot if countries) is all about providing evidence for reasons to return to Thailand. That means job, house, family, other assets. If there doesn't seem to be enough for her to return to, she is less likely to get a visa. Sent from my shoe phone.
May 28, 201313 yr If your gf qualifies in her own right, she has one thing in her favour. She has travelled to a country which has similar Visa conditions/restrictions to Australia as you mentioned that she travelled to the UK previously. If however she needs your financial support to obtain the visa, you would best look at this. Australian Visitor Visa ... then open the 'Who can be a Sponsor' section. .
May 28, 201313 yr Author Hi I might think about progressional help. I read the visitor visa link.. It says only family member or resident can sponsor a visitor I'm a uk citizen, so will I be able to sponsor her like I did the uk visa ??
May 28, 201313 yr What I saying above is I'm not a resident in Australia ! Now you mention that you are not resident in Oz, your girlfriend should apply for a visa of her own volition and she can inform that she is visiting her English boyfriend who is temporarily on a working holiday visa. Did she honour the terms of her UK visit visa? The chances are not good for her either way. You can but try if you're both determined to give it a shot. Edited May 28, 201313 yr by wooloomooloo

May 29, 201313 yr Hi Dave25 From the information you have supplied, to me it seems as if your girlfriend would have an excellent chance of a tourist visa. Don't read too much into the "sponsorship" issue. There are usually no sponsors as such for tourist visa's. As David48 points, out, your girlfriend has a good travel history. This gives her a fair bit of credibility. It's basically a standard tourist visa application. You being a non-resident will/should hardly affect it at all. Just provide the information you have on your relationship and also your financial details advising you can bankroll the trip. When you go back to Thailand, just get your information and lodge the application. It's not expensive. As far as the multiple entry goes, that is up to the discretion of the case officer but in a lot of cases, the first visa is usually a single entry. All the best. Will
May 29, 201313 yr Author Will i thought that sounds more correct because I'm here now and there are lots of different nationalities here. I'm sure not all of them had family members here who are residents. I mean how did they get here in the first place. It's simply.for a tourist visa , not residency !
