Have you ever thought about what you are eating?

I remember when i first came to Thailand my colleague would always say "I'm going to get myself a dog on a stick". I asked him what he meant by that and was told "haven't you seen all the three legged dogs here? What do you think happened to the fourth leg?"

He was talking about the street vendors selling BBQ pork on sticks.

I read today in the Bangkok Post that about a thousand dog skulls were found in Ayutayha close to a meat ball ball factory raising the idea that maybe the meatballs were made of dog meat.

Personally I don't eat many meat balls and it wouldn't put me off eating them if I knew it was dog meat but what really worries me is what else is put inside the meatballs? I am thinking both of meat substances and chemicals.

Whenever you think of what ingredients go into a sausage, and it is accepted as a sausage, it becomes titular only. This also applies to beef-burgers and most other fast foods, accepted by the title of the product and not the actual ingredients.

My reasoning has always been if it tastes good, enjoy it! (and if unsure about what it is, don't ask!)

It is a psychological response from us as to what we eat, not the actual ingredients we are eating. As long as the process is hygienic and the ingredients non-harmful, bon-appetite....................wink.png

I agree with you about the ingredients. I am willing to try any kind of meat as long as it's hygienic and edible.
