Anyone know how to stop the GPS from reverting to off after a few mins.?. Ive goe the Ace also and that does the same.Im not too good with these new gadgets.

That is to say, it switches off the GPS transceiver, if not being used by an app., in order to conserve power? I think that's how my GNEX4 (also with 4.2.2.) works.

In Settings, Location access: I assume you have "Access to my location" switched to "On"? And GPS satellites ticked?

Thanks ill look at that. It loads the maps fine,finds my location an where i want to go. Thet It turns off completely, hit the Main Start Button Swipe twice and the map comes back along with your destination not deleted and running fine..

One other point. Are the batteries good for a 6Hr gps Car journey, i don't have the Car Kit.?.

^ With GPS and 2G/3G? Could be tight? You can find a cigarette lighter to micro-USB cable for a 100 baht anywhere.

I'm not sure that Google Maps with (turn-by-turn/spoken directions.re-routing) Navigation is enabled here. It can be hacked - I've done this an it works fine - but it does require rooting and some modifications.

Ive been told when its running off the Car it stays on. Goodle Maps are fine.Must get a cord n try it.
