twr404
Hello, I've been to Bumrungrad a year ago to X-ray my hips. The doctor what pretty useless as far as a diagnosis of what's causing my pain. It has now become chronic and need to find a good hip doctor. Any first hand recommendations? I live in Pattaya but will travel to BKK for someone who knows what they are doing. Thanks everyone, T
Sheryl
I don't know who you saw before at Bumrungrad but would suggest: http://www.bumrungrad.com/doctors/Areesak-Chotivichit OR http://www.bumrungrad.com/doctors/Keerati-Charoencholvanich Both specialize in hip, both did fellowships in the US, both have faculty appointments at leading medical schools. Bring your Xray with you although being a year old it may need to be repeated. Possible (but not certain) that additional imaging (e.g. MRI) will also be needed. You might also find someone suitable at Queen Sirikit Naval hospital but no way to review doc qualifications in advance. Could try going back in the afternoon between 1-2:45 PM to the OPD section and asking the nurses there or suggest a doc, I haven't tried that approach at Queen Sirikit but it works well for me in the military hospital in Prachinburi, as the OPD hours are usually mornings and between 1 - 2:45 the nurses aren't as busy, just catching up on paperwork.
