In the forlorn hope that 3G may improve service and speeds I pre-registered for their 3G service when it became available here on Phuket.

I popped in to pay my bill this morning at the AIS service shop in Jungceylon and eventually after some faffing around was told that it is not available for BB yet. All other makes yes, but not BB. Apparently it maybe in another couple of months.

Can anyone confirm the truth of this or was I just coming up against the "no hab" mentality.

BB service for 3G 2100 was rolled out last weeks, and this week is now not available. Not sure when this will be back, you can ask them more details [email protected]

I got an an SMS message on Wednesday saying to expect 3G upgrade the next day. Sure enough by 17.00 on Thursday I had it. All done automatically it seems. Definitely getting faster down loads.
