I had my colour and B&W inks refilled ,after refitting I get a message "check ink"also the alarm light(lightning sybol"comes up and does not allow me to use any of the functions?Anyone encountered this or have a solution?

On my cheapo cannon I go into the maintain functions and tell it I have new ink and it resets the low ink alarms. It will ask if I have new or used - select new.

I have MX328. To stop the alarm I press down on STOP button for at least 5 seconds.
