Its just an oral statement from the Hamish Falconer Minister of the Middle East disagreeing with the new plan announced by Israel on its war against Hamas. The vid even contains a snip of Hamas fan boy Jeremy Corbyn...... The UK's position remains the same as clearly stated by Hamish Falconer in his submission: "We want an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages, the urgent provision of humanitarian aid and a pathway to a political solution. Madam Deputy Speaker, All of us recognise that Hamas continues to hold hostages in the cruellest fashion. Their actions show the complete disregard for the interests of the Palestinian people. Hamas must not divert aid for their own financial gain or use civilian infrastructure for military purposes. We repeat our demand for the immediate release of the hostages. But an expansion of this conflict is not the route to achieve their safe return." He disagrees with Israel's expansion plan into Gaza. The only problem being he does not offer solutions other than diplomacy which is impossible with Hamas and has not worked since Oct 7th 2023. -

Community Suspected Diseased Meat Destroyed in Nong Khai Amid African Swine Fever Alert

Authorities in Nong Khai have destroyed over 260 kilograms of animal carcasses and meat deemed high-risk for spreading infectious diseases, amid growing concerns about African Swine Fever (ASF) in the region. At 14:00, on 6 May, officers from the Nong Khai Animal Quarantine Station, in coordination with local customs officials and provincial livestock authorities, carried out the destruction of the confiscated materials. The items included: • 180 kg of bovine offal • 42 kg of bovine meat • 40 kg of pork The origin of the animal products could not be verified, raising suspicions that they may have come from animals infected with or carrying infectious diseases. In light of this, and the recent designation of Nong Khai as a disease surveillance zone for African Swine Fever, authorities acted swiftly to prevent potential spread. The destruction was conducted through burial, in accordance with sections 13 and 40 of Thailand’s Animal Epidemics Act (B.E. 2558 / 2015), which permits authorities to destroy animal products suspected of being a disease risk. ASF is a highly contagious viral disease affecting pigs, with no known cure or vaccine. While it poses no threat to humans, its rapid transmission can devastate pig populations and have significant economic repercussions for the pork industry. Officials have reiterated the importance of strict biosecurity measures and called on the public to avoid transporting or consuming meat of unclear origin.
