Lomprayah Ferry Pier At Chumphon

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with the GPS co-ordinates for the Lomprayah Ferry Pier at Chumphon...???

I am driving there from HH on Monday and so far all the ferry company has done for me is provide a map that looks like it was knocked up by a 5 year old. And that is being derogatory to the 5 year old... They say they can't, or more like won't give me the co-ordinates.

Also, no matter which spelling of Chumphon (Chumporn) I enter into the satnav it comes out not recognised.

It's not the getting to Chumphon, it's the getting to the pier once I'm there.

We did it not long ago the low tech way. The route is signposted quite well. You'd probably have a hard time missing it. Seriously. I can't read Thai and it was relatively easy.

Agree, did the trip to the pier last year without coordinates, piece of cake

Thanks to you all. Very helpful, unlike the ferry company...!!!

Hope you are not planning on putting the car on the Lomprayah ferry?.... !!! w00t.gif

It's passengers only... hope you are aware of that wink.png

Signs on Thailand highways are usually well marked, in English and Thai, even in non Tourist areas from my experience thumbsup.gif

Samuijimmy, got to say I had a little chuckle at that. tongue.png

Maybe I should have explained that my wife and I have lived in LOS for 12 months now and that I'm quite used to driving over here. We want to discover more of Thailand before we start to branch out and fly to nearby destinations.

Yes, I was aware it is just a passenger ferry but thanks for the info anyway.

That's a great drive from HH all the way down to NST. Can't really follow the coast the entire way, but great fun. We did it a few years ago and spent about 10 days on the drive. Few signs in English though!

But the signs over to the ferry are pretty good.
