I Have A Single Entry O Visa And Want To Visit Laos

Featured Replies

I have a single entry O visa and want to visit Laos for a couple of days as a tourist with my Thai wife

Can you tell me please what are the restrictions for returning to Thai?

Thanks in advance.

Graham

For single entry or extension you would need a re-entry permit prior to travel to return for the remainder of current permitted stay. If not you would only get a 15 visa exempt entry (if that is what your nationality gets).

You need to visit your local Immigration office and obtain a re-entry permit (1000bht).

Without the re-entry permit you will only receive a 15 day visa exempt entry to Thailand on your return from Laos

Wow, that was a quick response..thanks.

I have a single entry 90 day visa which i will extend to a 12 month visa based on marriage sometime during July.

So it looks like i will need to get a re-entry permit. is that something I can get at the local immigration office in khon Kaen and if so, do you know the cost?

thanks again

Khon Kaen will issue for 1,000 Baht

Don't forget the passport size photo.
