Pattaya was decimated at the height of Covid...most who could went home...there were long lines for food handouts and a large increase of poeple sleeping on the streets every bar , disco and beach were closed,there was even periods of no booze for sale anywhere ! Only large shops could open and they were restricted to only selling food. -

O Retirement visa
That would be a false assumption 😞 When you apply for a yearly extension of stay based on retirement using banked money method you have to meet the seasoning requirements for the WHOLE YEAR you have the extension granted for That is you need to keep the 800K baht in the account for 3 months AFTER the extension is granted and then the balance cannot go below 400K baht the rest of the year <- those are requirements for the extension a person is currently on, and if they're going to change the reason for the extension they also need to meet THOSE requirements as well -

When was the last time that you spoke with a foreigner?
Asking those who live in Thailand.... The last time that I spoke with a 'farang' was about 4 weeks ago when I said 'thank-you' to a young Russian guy who held the lift for me in my Jomtien condo building. I don't go out of my way to socialise with foreigners in Thailand because most seem to be pot-heads, 'hidden' nutters (who seem quite sociable at first, but then reveal themselves as totally mad), or those many grumpy old men who seem to be suffering from dementia. Otherwise, I seem only to interact with Thais 🙂on a daily basis. None seem to be pot-heads, the nutters are quite vocal and easily avoided, and I always get a smile from the old folk when I give them a cheery 'sawadee kap'. How about you. Do you live in a farang bubble? Or a Thai bubble for that matter? -

O Retirement visa
Just so you're clear there is NO requirement to show where the 800K baht came from when you get a year extension of stay (which is what you're doing and have been doing) The only requirements are that you kept the 800K baht in the account for 3 months AFTER you got the extension you're on issued last year, and then the balance never went below 400K baht the rest of the year and that it was back at 800K baht a minimum of 2 months before you APPLY for the next yearly extension. IF you meet the seasoning requirements and are just worried about "proof of funds origin" you don't need to be at all as I said that is not a requirement -
