Hello,

If my original Non-IM Visa is under one category, can I get it extended on the basis of something else? For example, if I originally arrived in Thailand on a Non-IM ED Visa, could I get it extended on the basis of 10mil baht investment?

Normally yes, although with an ED-visa you might find some restrictions. Especially if you would like to change to working in Thailand.
