roban Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I recently moved from Kao Noi to Neurnplubwan. Went to TOT, to move my ADSL too. I had a 7Mbit line on Kao Noi, with which I could download most times at full speed, especially Google drive / Dropbox / etc. But now I've noticed, that my "new" 10 Mbit line on NPW is somehow throttled to 2 Mbit per single Download. The server location makes no difference. With a Download manager like DTA or similar, which opens multiple connections to a server, I can use the full 10 Mbit capacity of my line. Anybody noticed a similar behaviour? I think, time to visit the TOT office...again....

roban Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 speedtest.net is useless because Thai ISP tend to fake the test. Download a real file, to test your speed. Everything else is unreliable! Speedtest from five minutes before Just ridiculous. Nothing more to say.....
