How Long Time Do I Have To Stay Outside

Featured Replies

wai2.gif Hi, I`m an Norwegian with a one year non imm O multiple entry visa.

Can anybody tell me how long time I have to stay outside Thailand when my first 90 day period is over before I can enter Thailand again ?

Somebody says I can go back same day and somebody says I have to stay outside Thailand at least 24 hours.

No time limit, same day is not a problem.

Walk out of Thailand, into another country get your passport stamped, walk out of that country and walk back into Thailand get stamped back in.

The amount of time it takes to turn around and get stamped back in.

There is no legal time limit in anyway, shape or form.

Though many thai officials at some border points may lie to you to steal your money. Welcome to dealing with thais in uniform.

I'm confused...I thought with a 1 year non-imm O visa there were no border runs required...

No, each entry is 90 days, if one wants to stay longer, they must qualify(marriage, retirement, etc) and apply for a one year extension of stay.

You are confusing a visa with an extension of temporary stay.

Thanks for straightening me out...wai2.gif

By the way, if you go to Cambo and try to come back to Thai the same day, there will a stern request for consideration of a donation to the Cambodian tea-time fund. They figure you pay $20 for a visa, then you can afford to offer a similar gratuity for having placed your toes in their 'fine' country.

Malaysia no probs. AA

They also have a fake doctor 'administering' receipts for unnecessary and unadministered jabs for malaria, Delhi belly etc just before you go for your visa.

Walk on by, they are a con.
