MikePH
Does anyone know anywhere in Chiang Mai where I can buy sheets of 2400mm x 1200mm x16mm or 18mm good quality water and heat resistant prefinished board for making a new kitchen (western style). I have looked in Thai watsadu but they dont have much of a colour range and the quality is not so good. Also looking for the hardware, eg: hinges, drawer runners and matching edgetape. Greenside
Not much in the way of good laminated material for DIY projects. Places like Homikitch in CM sell very expensive composites and some of the granite colours you can get are cheaper.

Rust Never Sleeps
There is no pre-fab board anywhere in the world that is heat and water resistant despite the glossy brochures,(you can insulate against water but you cannot insulate against heat using wood in any circumstances).
