as an alternative also looking for a new desk chair, was looking into the 'Hara' brand, and two posturepedic ones at Bumrungrad. A bit too pricey, i always have problems with sitting for any length of time, and get a stiff upper right arm, which goes into the neck, mid back. Whenever I get a new chair, it always feels good the first few weeks, then begins to drive me crazy, I have to use memory foam to sit on, a back arch support, etc. But it becomes like a particular habitual form that the body knows and immediately begins to 'freeze' and get pain when returning to that form. Hope that makes sense. I will pay for an expensive chair if it will indeed help, or if someone can really vouch for them. I'm just concerned that will have the same problem.

While there is a health-related issue behind this, you don't seem to be getting any hits (and I personally have no info) so I am moving this to the General forum where it will get wider readership and perhaps more chance of a response.

The ones sold online mail-order ship flat, may be cheaper if sent surface if you're willing to wait.

Note that given a decent set of photos a welding shop and car/moto upholster would be able to knock one up for you, probably under B5,000 if you speak Thai and are familiar with your back-street industrial neighborhoods.
