August 22, 200916 yr TLW: Whether Australian or Kiwi, (and freed or escaped convicts did migrate to NZ from Oz), we must remember that the penal colonies were set up for the transportaiton of petty criminals. All the real bad crims were kept in Britain...whose decendants are still there or migrated to the American colony.
