Apple Mail...question

Featured Replies

Hi there

I often put aside a half finished or finished mail in drafts and then open it up again later, usually adding something.

It seems you have to "forward" the draft to get it to open up for amendment.

Trouble is you then get a line on the left hand side of what is there, and the lettering all comes out in colours.

how can I avoid this, and just get regular black font no lines to the left?

Thanx!!

Once it's in drafts, just double click on the email and it will open again as a newly composed email. Do your revisions or additions, then click the red top left button to send it back to drafts and go do something else, or hit the Send icon and off it goes as usual.

That "line on the left hand side with a change of colours" is a quote indication - the email is being quoted, perhaps by itself because you're doing a forward.

Either use the draft instructions above, or use the menu bar Format. Select everything that's behind that line and in colours, and then "Quote Level" and select "Decrease"

Perfect!

Bless you my son.

Nice one! I wondered how to do that
