Hi

My wife and I are thinking of going to Myanmar soon.

She is Thai. My kids have Thai passports also and i have a Canadian passport so my question based on the info I just gave what is required for a trip to Myanmar for visas ?

We're should be a good place to go see , I was thinking of Rangoon .

What would be the best way to get there fly , bus , train etc ?

And if flying what would be my options please ?

And any other info that could be helpful woud be thankful in advance

I'd love to give you loads of info but the queries that you have asked show that you can't even be bothered doing basic searches for basic info. It just seems lazy with respect.

DO a little research - even for 10-20 mins. Then ask for tips & clarification as it will also help you to work out exactly what you want to do, thus you will provide more info and ask more specific queries. You'll get really good info. from many here. The one tip is that you have to fly.

OP, there is a Myanmar branch on this forum. Why don't you post your inquiries there? Also, whether or not the Mae Sot/Myawaddy border has opened to overland travel is still not known (even though I was the person who initiated that thread). This is because the Myanmar government keeps delaying the opening date so even I have given up posting updates that keep changing. But if you want some more info about Myanmar, do post on the relevant sections of the forum, Myanmar travel has nothing to do with Thailand travel.

You wasted too much time typing. I would have just said "Take the train".

a good start will be here. http://myanmar-visa.org

I don't know where in Thailand you live, however flying would be the best route - probably from BKK to Rangoon where most of the international flight arrive. There are several flights out of Chiang Mai into cities in Myanmar if you live up north.

-Mandalay
-Bagan (Pagan)
are historical city sites, especially Bagan.
Just google the area and you'll get a ton of information concerning transportation options within Myanmar.
Its nice, you'll enjoy. Also, don't forget to visit the Schwedagon pavilion in Rangoon.
