In one sentence he says he bought the car, in another he says it belongs to someone else, which is it? As a politician his ownership of such a car is a matter for public scrutiny, threatening anyone for seeking such scrutiny is just the way these type of feudal thugs believe is their right to behave. As a politician in a transparent environment the fact he is driving someone else's car would also be cause for scrutiny and clear explanation, he should be not seen to do anything untoward, on the contrary our man in pink believes that we the people have no right to question him on anything he does or says because we are all beneath him.. Do the Red Dirts really think this kind of person they elected represents their interests and they are changing the old elitist system of patronage? not a chance...

DSI director general Tarit Pengdith said investigators will look into Mr Ruangkrai’s allegation against the deputy prime minister.

In this case,"look into" means call Dubai. I'm sure an impartial decision will be made 5555555555555555.

Surely the DSI should have been the ones to raise the issue in the first place, as opposed to now looking into whether Ruangkrai has defamed the DPM...!!

Or could it be that the DSI is already well aware of this and it has already been dealt with. That is, they have a hat full of names and as they pull them out they are then placed into other hats labeled:

(i) 'prosecute' and (ii) 'whitewash'....?

The DPM's name could have simply been erroneously placed in the 'whitewash' hat...!

One can guess that running the numbers on the illegal lottery is a handsome money earner. And controlling various illegal activities within western Bangkok, as well as receiving payoffs to protect various friends like the ones who live in Dubai, Cambodia and so on.

There are well defined laws for valuing imports, and a transaction such as you suggest would fall outside those laws.

Not that Thai Customs has a reputation for actually following their own laws.
