can I legally ask my consultors to pay me directly to my thai accounts.

it s not a lot of money, maybe 5000$ a year but it fills up my account when I go to Thailand for holidays.

Legal according to what jurisdiction and type of law?

As long as the work is performed in Thailand, doesn't matter in theory where the money is deposited you need a work permit. And tax to be paid, and apparently the Revenue Dept doesn't bother about the WP issue.

In practice these issues are probably easier to avoid if the payment continues to be sent overseas.

Your home country may want to know about the income in any case, US citizens certainly have to report every cent they earn worldwide.

I provide service to people to settle in countries.

anything like visa assistance , business, divorce, business consulting, travel arrangements... i help people online and I m paid in return a few thousand baths.

... and I pay tax on it.

I m not retired but by doing this I live better than a full time job and I can work from anywhere in the world as long I have wifi.

should I expect any problems?

no I m not in Thailand, I just go to Thailand for a few months a years. I understand the only problem could be with the immigration if I was living in Thailand with a tourist visa and was doing my online business there.

until now, I never got any problems or any questions asked from banks. I think as long it s little money they don't care.

Sure banks won't say boo.

And even the Thai government will be perfectly happy with you earning your money overseas and having your PayPal or customers directly depositing the resulting income into a Thai account, then coming here on "holiday" and spending that money here, no problems at all that I can see.

on top of that my thai bank charge me around 400 to 500 baths for each transfer...

You really need to provide a little more detail in your posts - inbound, outbound from where to where using what medium, do you think it should be less or more, good or bad, are you asking for alternative ways etc.

I give you an example. you got a guy looking for an apartment in a country, not thailand, so you go see for him, take pic... can take just an hour or 2. i send pic by email and all info I could get . the guy happy, rent the room later...

i charge little money for my time, and I give my thai account number info like this I don't need to convert money and I still find some money in my thai bank account when I come on vacation.

In other words "I want my customers to wire transfer small amounts into my Thai bank account directly".

This is very inefficient.

Set up PayPal, have them transfer the money to you that way - MUCH cheaper for them as well, then every couple of weeks or when you've got more money accumulated in your PayPal account than you like to leave there (for me $500 USD or so), tell PayPal to transfer it into your Thai bank account.

Easy Peasy and very very cheap compared to anything else I've come across for this scenario.

Anyone with better ideas do please pipe up!

If your customers are in the same country where you have bank accounts, they can deposit there, and then you can use international wire transfer (SWIFT) to send money every once in a while to your Thai account.

This will be cheaper for larger amounts, it's a flat fee rather than a percentage, and PayPal does get you on the exchange rate.

Of course, you're not trying to use any of this to avoid taxes right? That would be silly. . .
