Ageed! I don't know your age,but it's been medically proven that keeping the brain active, helps ward off Altzeimers too.

Does posting here ACTUALLY keep the brain active? I'm really asking ...

Apparently some more than others.

I would but I've forgotten where I put my computer!sad.png

Brain fade has its advantages, can see all your favorite films read your favorite books and it's just like the very first time (echoes of Madonna in the background).

Re Post #81 using ThaiVisa to keep my English language from deteriorating spending days at a time only speaking my fractured Thai -- from the screenplay for The Ox-Bow Incident (Juan M a very young Anthony Quinn)

Jenny Grier: [when Juan finally speaks English after pretending he only knows Spanish] So, he speaks American!

Juan Martínez: And ten other languages, my dear - but I don't tell anything I don't want to in any of them.

I'm off to the pub.....have fun!

I totally concur with OP on this topic. I think that there are a lot of old fella's who look at this forum everyday and some are just out to write controversial things and fight / argue and bitch on about things.

All I can say to these old guys is GET A LIFE...

Concurring is boring.

BTW I am an old guy online today and for the next week or so because I am monitoring and commenting (mostly but not exclusively via Twitter) on a United Nations Conference via a USA based NGO. So what are you doing with YOUR begotten life?

Sniggering at people who boast about avoiding farangs who then spend time chipping away on a farang forum. coffee1.gif

^^ This is the intellect we have to deal with here, that member actually edited his post to boast about the sum total of his life being that he posts on twitter. facepalm.gif

Sum Total? ... and as a sniggerer you are one of my favorite sniggerees. I have 30 minutes to edit and I'll use it if I so choose.

As long as you're swapping avatars, how about this one?

Guess also whose sum total of his life is posting on Twitter: @BillGates who last posted on Twitter 8 hours ago.

I'm off to bed now.

Saturday night.

Not even 10 pm.

Today has been a busy day here for me with 6 posts, my average is below 2, and I still think, I spend a lot of time on TV. rolleyes.gif

A few months back, I was posting 2 or 3 times per day. That's too much. It shows a lack of self-control. It's pathetic and useless.

I wrote to a moderator called Sheryl. I asked her to suspend me for two months. I understand that she referred my request to another moderator called Lopburi. He was the guy who suspended me.

--------------------------------------------

When you have a self-imposed suspension ............ you just move on. You do better and more worthwhile things.

Never waste time on anonymous forums.

I look at prolific posters on this site and I view them with nothing more than pity.

I see that some posters here, are suggesting that some of the high-post-count posters here might be disabled or living in the sticks.

I guess most of us in our imagination create a "phantom-picture" of the other frequent posters, even if we only have their avatar and posts to go by.

For a long time I had a picture in my head of Jingthing, sitting in his hightech wheelchair (Thailands Stephen Hawkin) writing his posts with movements of his eyelids! rolleyes.gif

When I realised, that picture was false, I was almost disappointed.sad.png

Fast typists?

Maybe so.....but for me, it's the only release I get to "socialise" in English.

Still slowwwwly learning Thai....and living out in the sticks where my wife is the only other English speaking person that I know for 100km.

......but I wouldn't consider myself a serial poster, I'm more of a spectator, with a few opinions and ideas.

Cheers.

The current one is more honest considering I'm more acid burnout than world class poet.

You also must be one, and posted this

My phantom picture of high-post-count-posters is that the majority are locked in a room together sweating it out on the keyboard for 12 hours shifts being drip fed Sang Som .

When they have finished their shift the manager takes them down to soi 4 for a couple of hours R & R then back to the company apartment where they sleep in bunk beds and rice pizzas together.

CCC

Rice pizzas?

Someone's been in Thailand too long. . .

Laughable...........

You are now comparing yourself to Bill Gates, is there no end to your self delusion? Because you both have a twitter account?

Unbelievable.

I can't be bothered engaging with this level of imbecility. coffee1.gif
