Hy Guys,

I received a file GIF ( coffee machine photos with some animation, like fade, day light view, night light view), I'd like to post it in some dedicated forums but mostly of it does not support GIF files.

Does some Guru know if is possible to convert a GIF file to other format without to modify the original file characteristics?

apng (animated png) is the modern equivalent of animated GIF.

however, only few browsers support them so far:

i'm sorry, maybe i used a wrong phrase, i wanted to say that i got another file from the sender MOV format instead of GIF.

The photographer modified the original file, anyway i will follow your suggestion and i will ask how he did it.

I have yet to see a site where posting MOV is allowed, but GIF not!

Manarak, i have not your skill in materia, but i got a file which is .mov and than i could upload it on youtube, the file seems made with Quicktimevideo, more than this i can't say

ok, the two are two different things, MOV is a video file and GIF is an image file that supports animation. very very different!

since youtube is made for videos, it makes sense that they allow MOV but not GIF
