Considering A Move To Cambodia? Fergedabowdit!

Featured Replies

We all know the coup - our rapidly devaluing home currencies aren't measuring up too well against the baht many of us once regarded as little more than Monopoly money and, consequently, there's been lots of talk about people binning Thailand for Cambodia.

Well, for those considering making the move to one of only a handful of countries on this continent where their dollar, pound or euro can make them feel rich again, this ****Link Removed**** provides 7 reasons why you might want to tough it out in Thailand a bit longer or, heaven forbid, maybe even head back home . . . especially the old boys.

Some of the recent interest in Cambodia has come from Westerners living in Thailand. Rising prices in Thailand and stricter Thai visa regulations have already contributed to a noticeable influx of shifty-eyed, tattooed sexpats creeping across the border into Cambodia. Fortunately, a lot of those dudes haven’t made it past Sihanoukville.

That was written tongue-in-cheek by a guy who writes a lot of "7 reasons" articles. Look at it carefully; It's humor.

Many a true word . . .

And he didn't even get around to mentioning the Eternal Brother.

Funny stuff. Written as tongue in cheek humor, but still has a lot

of truth in what he says. He did forget the part about the elites driving

Lexus cars, who will step out and shoot you if you impede their progress

or scratch their car with your motorcycle.... :-)

This is one of the best pieces I've read in a long time.

I was so happy to make the change and come back to Thailand. I had forgotten how much I missed being in a happy place and feeling safe.

The article I have just read has wasted 5 minutes of my life and is exactly the same kind of drivel written about Thailand in the 80's.
