Visa on arrival - Then Tourist Visa?

Featured Replies

Hey

I got to Thailand in april this year and got a 30 days on arrival Visa. After almost all those 30 days passed I got sick and my doctor extended my visa for another 90 days (some kind of visa only the hospital can give). However, i only stayed untill beginning of June before i got back to Sweden. So all in all i stayed in thailand for like 50 days before going back home.

Now I want to go back to Thailand for holiday and i plan on staying 2-3 months. All these visa rules are a jungle, and I wonder if there will be any problem for me to get a 60 days tourist visa? Im asking because i recently visited Thailand and ive only been home for 6 weeks so im not sure if thats a problem? Also I heard about that you can only stay in Thailand a certain amount of days per year, and that getting a Tourist visa when you had a 30 days on arrival visa before might be trouble.

Appreciate all the help i can get. Im supposed to book the flight ticket today so that i can leave next thursday, so im in a bit of a hurry to get a visa.

Regards

Hansen

No problem at all to get a tourist visa, go for it.

You can come back without any problems, there is no minimum time required to stay outside of Thailand. (The rule you heard about is old and no longer in use, it didn't apply to tourist visa anyway).

a single entry toruist visa wil suit you, as you can extend by 30 days.
