Need to get a visitor visa for the mrs to go to New Zealand for a month,, but when to apply? We are not going until Dec so if we got the visa now would it still be valid then or do you wait until a bit closer the date? I have emailed the NZ website but I assume the staff are Thai as the answer did not make sense

Some of the staff are Thai but have very good English skills.

From memory you can apply up to 3 months before your visit.
