I will be flying outside Thailand this Thursday, and I am on a non B visa extension. My flight is around 3 am. Do I need to buy the re entry at my local immigration office or can I buy it in the airport?

Best is to buy it in advance at your local immirgaiton office. But current reports are that the re-entry desk at Suv. is now open 24 hours. Apply after you have checked in, before going through passport control.

Thanks Mario, I guess I will go to immigration instead of the airport. Too risky trying to buy the re entry at the airport and to find the desks are closed, don't want to go through the hassle of making a new visa again...

You are highly advised to get it before you leave at your local immigration .... because you may be very rushed at suvarnabhumi.

Especially at that time of night.

At one time it was only a daytime process to get re-entry permits there.

Don't know if that is still true, but just to avoid any last minute problems it would be wise to get the exit re-entry from your local immigration earlier ... before you leave.

Scary stuff, I will go same Thursday early morning to Chaeng Wattana office. Buying the permit should be a matter of minutes, right? I will be flying the night of same day (actually it will be Friday already, 3 am :-P)
