Nen Kham's wife set to demand child support worth 40 mill baht

SI SA KET, 16 July 2013 (NNT) - Defrocked monk Wiraphol Sukphol’s wife is suing him for child support worth 40 million baht in family court.

Her lawyer is applying for alimony at Si Sa Ket’s Youth and Family Court and is requesting that the disgraced monk formally recognize the 11-year-old boy at the center of the case as his biological son.

Lawyer Somchart Wongtharathorn said the monk had fathered the child but had neglected to assume his paternal responsibilities.

He further elaborated that the amount requested is to take care of the child until he is 20 years old. The amount of alimony payment is based on the income of the defendant.

Currently, the Department of Special Investigation is expected to issue an arrest warrant for Phra Wiraphol on Wednesday.

so 40M is based on the defendants income....but it's looking more like those are ill-gotten gains and are set to be confiscated. Monks are not supposed to have an 'income'. Good luck in getting any child support in these circumstances....someone should tell her this is Issan and not Hollywood!
