Anyone ever do this ride? If so any tips such as points of interest/good eats on the way? Also any recommendation on cheap places to stay on Phayao and a good place to grab a pint and a bite to eat?

this hotel which is a little bit down the hill from the police station in the main shopping street was only 300 baht a night and could have done with a coat of paint but the night car park attendant offered me a new visiting massage lady every night for the week ish ? i stayed there
