afm171
I'm assuming that Thai people use the stuff all the time, but do they make it themselves or buy it at the store? http://mccluresmagazine.com/healthy-living/the-truth-about-coconut-oil I can't recall seeing it in any stores, but then again, I was looking for it either. Valentine
Don't know where you live but here in Phuket it is available in supermarkets & pharmacies. Also see it when they have OTOP promotions.
webworldly
In Bangkok, available on offer at all major supermarkets......least expensive at Foodland, Soi #16. I suspect that most Thai people do consume a lot of coconut oil indirectly (or you could say, most directly) by way of the coconut flesh they eat, and thus derive its nutritional benefit...but that few would even consider purchasing pure coconut oil except for cosmetic purposes. CHEERS! D
Firefan
I cook with it, use it for body and face, massage, shaving oil, eat it in home made chocolate, throw in smoothies, make popcorn and so much more! Best thing ever. The health benefits are numerous as the OP's article mention. Seen it in; TOPs, Villa, Central and even some pharmacies and many health food stores. Get a bottle with a pump for easier use. Does not go bad as easy as other oils so keep it at room temperature for it to remain liquid and easy to use. Cheers!
