Sunbelt Asia
Hi,i have to do a service job in Thailand for aboud 5 month and i get payd in Germany as well as i file my tax in Germany. Do i need to get a WP for this job? If yes, how can i get it? Yes, you need a work permit, even if you were working for free. Couple options 1. Your employer forms a Thai company and gets you a work permit. 2. Your employer signs a contract with a Thai Company to provide this service. The condition in the contract is you must be employed by them. This Thai Company obtains a work permit for you to perform this service. www.lawyer.th.com
desmond
Yes, and Never work without a work permit. If you are caught, the consequences is very serious. Don't take risk
nonthaburial
I have been in this position many times before eventually being based here full time.We looked into this and found that it was possible toget a longer visa to cover, but other companies decided it was not worth the hassle so a weekend to HK or KL every now and then was the answer
