Rorri
What a ridiculous farce. Does this man really believe that we buy this crap! He doesn't care what WE think, but he does expect Thais to believe him, and sadly he may be right.
aTomsLife
Dad earned a lot of plaudits by saying the television company's publicity machine was wrong that the photo was staged as his daughter had admitted to him she had taken the drug. How does he feel now having presumably been bullied into taking part in the Chalerm Show where he was made a fool of ? Chalerm is an old friend and with friends like that he doesn't need enemies. What a society, where the the elite think they can excuse everything away. Agreed. It's difficult enough for a parent to admit such a thing to themselves in the privacy of their own home, much less in front of a nation. Then the Buffoon -- a relative stranger -- undermines him by speaking for his daughter at a press conference, contradicting all the good he'd done as a parent (not only for his own daughter -- but as an example for society in general). On a scale of 1-10 -- 10 being the most unethical -- this rates a 23.

Baerboxer
So much negativity. It's very commendable that a senior politician takes time out from his intense and important schedule to help clear up a misunderstanding like this. The fact that it appears to have little to do with him other than the young lady being a friend of his grandson or nephew shows a degree of selflessness one would expect from a long term public servant in politics and the police. These reckless Youtube postings can often cause all sorts of stories and confusion. Good job we have a senior politcian and experienced police officer to get to the truth, supported by the official negative drug test. Let's hope the young lady's career and life aren't blighted and this all gets quickly forgotten.
mrtoad
Crystal meth has a half life of 10 hours and will be out of the system within 1-4 days, hence nothing found in hers. Where did you get that sort of information? Very Interesting! There is plenty of info available on the net about half life and drug testing. If they really wanted to confirm usage - a hair folicle test would be the most accurate way of doing it. Probably by the time she was tested, there would have been nothing in the urine - you are probably looking at a max of 3 days in the urine. However, as Chelrmlock is a genius, he could probably have deduced this without even any testing. Another case solved by the Labour Minister.
Badbanker
There are also substances available locally here in Thailand that when taken strip the drugs from your system and makes your urine squeaky clean in about 24 hours.

Given that amphetamines (all types) will not be detectable in your blood/urine/saliva after ~5 days, it's not really surprising that they didn't find traces of anything if the picture of her doing the drugs is more than a week old...! Globeman
Why oh why does he need to point all this out anyway, regardless? <deleted> does this have to do with a post at the Ministry of Labor? This guy needs shutdown by any means and removed from the public scene. Such a fool and bad presentation of his country. Chalerm was transferred to the Labour ministry, but retains his position as the head of an anti-drug task force.

Globeman
Ahhh good to see the old Chalerm come back with insane press conferences. He has been a bit quiet lately after he got his horns trimmed back by Yingluck with his demotion. Seems odd to be using his new position in the labor department to hold a press conference and call the girl's father a liar. I like having Chalerm in the government just for the amusement factor, but am happiest when he does not have any real power.. He still heads an anti-drug task force... call it a hobby on the side. pedro01
Getcha-off Chalerm can get his sons off murder. What's a little drug use to a man of his standing and credibility? I think it has more to do with his Son or Grandsons credibility...
pedro01
My question is this.... Are Thai people guillible? Or, are Thai Politicians so incredible arrogrant, out of touch, and clouded with massive egos and delusions of self grandeur that they believe anything they say must be trusted? Or a frightening combination? I don't know any Thai people that respect or believe anything that comes out of Chalerms mouth. I think Chalerm surrounds himself by people that are scared of him, so no-one laughs in his face when he spouts nonsense. Even the articles about this in the Nation and Bangkok post fall short of ridiculing him.

Well the guaranteed way of ensuring your urine is squeaky clean 24/7 is not to take the s**t in the first place. Amazingly if you follow that rule, no more substances for squeaky clean urine are required.
Espinete
Chalerm; the absolute loser of 2556. Methamphetamine is not just marihuana / hasjies. It is an extremely dangerous drug and extremely quickly addictive. Given the right contra-medication, sure, no traces in the urine. If the test was objective anyway. How dumb can you be to involve in such incident and play the (honest) father away......... Disgusting.

TackyToo
His "earmedicine has finally reached his head. He has lost it big time. “Mr. Chalerm hypothesised there might have been some miscommunication.” Why is it that I do not expect anything else than hypothesis and miscommunication (misunderstanding?) from a notorious ear medicine user? And what the heck has a former vice premier minister on a more or less inactive post to do with it? As a father who protected his son from being held accountable for a far more criminal activity, he is in no position to call the girl’s father a liar. But then again, ear medicine may help to get over reality. Looks like there is some truth in the saying: Reality is for people who can’t handle drugs. I was not aware of the fact that ear medicine is that dangerous.
