deepsea149
Hi, My ed visa expires in October and I was wondering if I could get an extension on it. If so, for how long, and what is the process?
Colabamumbai
I would think that you could with proper documentation from the school whether it is your present school or a new school. The school should be familiar with the documents necessary.

Pattaya46
yes, you can but you need a letter from school. its 1900 and you can it for many many years Yes, but you will need lot of more than just "a letter" from school ! They want many documents about the school, your contract with it, the course times, some pictures,... But don't worry, the school use to do that and the only thing I made to renew my ED Visa Extension was to sign 2 papers inside the documentation provide by my school
Mario2008
Extensions are normally for 90 days at a time, costing 1,900 baht. University students get 1 year extensions of stay. As said, the school will give you the proper paperwork for the extension. No study, no extension.
ILMW
I have recently renewed my ED visa through a service that has been quite convenient with me in the past for doing Visa runs and other services it cost 23,000b and only needed Passport and 2 photos, they did the rest. http://www.thaivisaservice.com/

ILMW
23,000 Bht for a visa ? I hope it is genuine ! Hey its a 1yr extension from the first 15month one they initially got me, they met me, picked up my passport returned it a week or 2 later. Saves headaches, MRT then taxi to Chaeng Whathanna, lines and supporting documentation and so forth. If they have an inside person with a rubber-stamp in immigration or at the border who receives a kickback then so be it. I have no problem buying fake merchandise, replicas, stolen, bootlegged music/movies etc nor do I care if my clothing is made in sweat shops in Bangledesh. Its my pocket and my stress that is my MAIN concern in this struggle called life.
Popular Post lopburi3
You could have a problem if the stamp is found to be illegally obtained however and it will be you in IDC lockup pending deportation - not the person selling it to you. You should be very concerned with source and legality of stamps and documents as they could directly effect your struggle called life.
richard10365
I think language schools can only get 90 days but universities extend up to 1 year. I just got my 1 year extension. There is a lot of paperwork involved but the school provides most of it.
KokoSKL
If you study at a university, you can get 1 year extensions. You need proper documents from your university for that. Afaik you can't extend your "ED" visa forever, only for the duration of your studies or up to 3 years. But rules might have been changed.
