wooloomooloo
First and foremost, how much are you prepared to pay for a carer? Good luck to you both,
Samui Coconut
First and foremost sorry to hear. You may check with some hospitals as there may be some retired nurses around someone knows of, or someone who is not coming back to work due to given birth etc. It also depends on how much care your wife requires. Good luck.
Popular Post Gatorade
Sorry to hear that your wife is unwell. My Mother had the same illness and lived here for 11 years. During the last seven years she needed a full time live in carer. We employed a Thai lady who supported her on a 24 hour basis. When she needed time off for shopping etc she made arrangements to bring in a friend who was vetted by us. The best thing to do is to ask around. So many Thai ladies are extremely adaptable and can deal with things on a very practical level. The lady we employed was trained in Traditional massage so that may be a good place to start. Many "proper" places to choose from but word of mouth is better.. But it will all depend on the degree of care your wife needs. We were impressed with our carer when she eventually left, her replacement was equally adept at coping with the sometimes difficult situations. Expect to pay around 14000 Baht per month for a live in lady and include her food costs. I hope you get it sorted. PM me if you want any further info.

DudleyPunt
Kosam, I take it you don't use Samui hospitals for this. Perhaps your BKK hospital could give some advice - no doubt if you widened the search you could find a carer willing to relocate. I hope every day you both share is special. God Bless, Dudley (with a man hug)

Popular Post kosam
Thank You all for your help. Sadly my wife has passed away from lung cancer in October. I ended up caring for her myself in our home for six months. She died at home as she wanted. What can I say but cancer is a devastating disease. I had no idea. It literally sucks the life out of a person and they dwindle down to skin and bone in the end. Unable to even walk down the hall to the toilet. She never complained, she was rock solid throughout this whole ordeal. She checked out when she decided to in the end, she had had enough. I am so proud to have had her as my wife, rest in peace my dear your pain has now ended. See you on the other side...............
