BKK Arrival Gate Info

Featured Replies

Advice sought;

Is there a resource somewhere to show which airlines land at which gates? Is this even a fixed things or is it variable?

The reason I ask is that I have family coming from the UK next week. One of the folks on that flight actually lives in VN but has been in the UK on business. His VN girlfriend is landing in Bkk at almost the same time and I am trying to figure out whether they are likely to find it easy to meet up. And which immigration hall they are likely to hit first.

Thanks in advance.

The only thing that is as good as certain is the concourse an airline will dock, i.e. concourse A - B - C - D - E - F or G.

The gate number is a lottery.

Best thing to do is to call the airline and ask wich concourse they use, which gives an indication of which immigration point will be used.

Otherwise have them meet at a specific place.

if flying with Thai, there is a smart phone app which will show not only the gate they will arrive at but also the belt for their luggage.

Obviously this info only available after the flight has departed from its origin.

There is a meeting point after Customs. By Gate 3 I believe, but others can perhaps confirm. Or perhaps they can arrange to meet by the AIS kiosk, or something like that, which is also after exiting Customs.

Tell them to meet you at MEETING POINT at Exit Door 3

They could arrange to meet at the baggage carousel used by the later arriving party. The earlier arriving party could simply hang around - it's hectic but there are places to sit - within the baggage claim area after clearing arriving Immigration, and take note of the carousel number which will be used by the later arriving party - these are displayed throughout the baggage claim area. I think the carousels are numbered up to twenty-two (22), with #22 being to the far left of the baggage claim hall if facing towards the Customs exit, with your back to Immigration. Otherwise agree that it might be simplest to meet at Door #3, Door #2 will be slightly less crowded, towards the right as you exit Customs B, or C exits.

Meeting up airside is possible, but perhaps a bit more challenging.
